This term we have been doing science. We have been learning about the water cycle and states of matter. Here is some of my learning.

I am really pleased to see your science work up on your blog. You have shown me that you are developing an understanding of the water cycle and some of the issues we are facing around water. It was great to see the diagrams and the writing that you had done. In you video you didn't seem confident at explaining the water cycle. This is something you could work on. Remember that the sun causes water to evaporate, turn into a gas and rise into the air but the water doesn't go up to the sun.

I also really liked listening to your video with Lincon and Jaxon where you read out, 'An Interview with A Glass of Water.' You presented well to the camera and did a fun interview.

It was good to see that you could also explain the states of matter.

Thanks for sharing your work. Ka pai tō mahi pūtaiao!

  2. Kia ora Te Whaea, Nathan went to the Science event at Grey High yesterday which he really enjoyed (U.C sponsored). The Scientist was so much fun with the kids and he used liquid nitrogen, ethynol, and good old baking soda and vinegar and even fire to do all kinds of explosions with pipes and drums and balloons and cannisters, it was awesome! It is great that Karoro School teaches kids to love science too. His goal fir this year was to develop confidence sith speaking out in front of others so he needs to keep practising and develop confidence with that. Tino pai to mahi and thanks so much for your feedback to Nathan. ☺️
